Build out of beautiful maple multi-ply hardwood, the Founder’s Edition studio monitor is the quintessential embodiment of excellence in speaker design. Leveraging years of work by founder Austin Harman and his team, the Founder’s Edition studio monitor spares no expense in creating an excellent speaker system to be enjoyed in your studio, broadcast suite, music production rig, or home studio. The Founder’s Edition is a limited run launch product, and you can one of the first people in the world to get a Penn Audio speaker.

No Compromise Components

Penn Audio’s signature sound starts with the fundamentals. We use only the highest quality drivers made under extremely strict standards, sourced from US based manufactures. Custom designed crossovers, amplifiers, and internal components bolster a unique enclosure design to deliver only the highest quality sound. The unique crossover point was selected to take advantage of the Founder’s Series natural component characteristics. Exceptional transient response and ultra-low distortion create the signature sound of Penn Audio. Utilizing an Innovative Forced Air design, the monitor can achieve impressive low end detail. 

Custom Maple Construction

Every PennAudio 8” studio monitor is created out of beautiful maple multi-ply hardwood and finished in a multi-step proprietary process to achieve a uniform and beautiful finish. Maple was chosen for its desirable audio properties and unique voicing the wood brings to the system’s sound. Only for the Founder’s Series, the Midnight Black finished in a slightly gloss clear coat accentuates the natural characteristics of the maple.

Penn Audio products are made to order in the United States of America, in our Ohio manufacturing facility. We take pride in quality craftsmanship and hand build all of our speakers from scratch using only the highest quality materials.
